The project
Focus Europe and the municipalities of Carbonia and Iglesias cooperate on a pathway into employment through European project development. Workshops, intensive training and two planned paid placements connect young people’s skills with local community needs.
Description
The initiative brought a programme focused on young people’s access to employment through European project development to Carbonia and Iglesias. Co-funded by Fondazione di Sardegna under its 2024 Local Development call, it was developed with Focus Europe and the two municipalities. Planned activities included workshops, intensive training and two paid placements, with attention to European Commission programmes such as CERV, Erasmus+ and Creative Europe. Building on earlier experience in Medio Campidano and Sulcis, the project connected professional skills with local development needs, strengthening the relationship between young people, municipal institutions and European opportunities.
