Cooperation between Quartu Sant’Elena and the Palestinian municipalities of Yatta, Samou and Idhna strengthens centres serving people with disabilities. Staff training and exchanges of expertise support the quality of educational and rehabilitation services.
Description
Territori Uniti 2023 supported disability centres in the Palestinian municipalities of Yatta, Samou and Idhna through cooperation with Quartu Sant’Elena and specialist organisations in Sardinia. The project created opportunities for staff training and exchange, with workshops covering cognitive stimulation, motor skills and educational observation. Its final training phase, announced for May 2025 at La Casa dei Girasoli, involved nine Palestinian professionals. Focus Europe coordinated relations with the Palestinian partnership, contributing to an initiative focused on service quality, inclusion and children’s rights. Cooperation connected local expertise with practical tools for educational and rehabilitation work.
