A cooperation programme led by Sant’Anna Arresi connects Sardinia and Senegal around environmental sustainability. Training, exchanges of practice and responsible resource management strengthen dialogue between institutions and local communities.
Description
Territori Sostenibili develops cooperation between Sardinia and Senegal around environmental sustainability and participatory local development. Led by the Municipality of Sant’Anna Arresi, with ANCI Sardegna involved, the project promotes training, exchanges of practice and sustainable resource management models. Cooperation aims to build lasting relationships between communities facing shared environmental and social challenges. Focus Europe supported preparation of the proposal, and the municipality approved an implementation agreement in June 2026. Funded by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia under the 2025 call of Regional Law 19/1996, the initiative links local institutional cooperation with community learning.
