A twinning initiative between San Ġiljan and Guilcier focuses on the inclusion of people with disabilities. Meetings in Sardinia and Malta address barriers to participation and the additional difficulties experienced by disabled refugees and migrants.
Description
INCLUDE brings together San Ġiljan and the Guilcier area of Sardinia to explore how local communities can become more accessible and inclusive. Two meetings, in Sardinia and Malta, provide opportunities for residents, organisations and local authorities to exchange experiences. The programme addresses barriers affecting people with disabilities and the additional challenges faced by disabled refugees and migrants. Focus Europe contributes as an associated partner, supporting the European dimension of the initiative and cooperation between the participating communities.
