Local authority cooperation on sustainable energy and the Covenant of Mayors. Exchanges focused on local practices.
Description
ENPCOM connected local authorities, energy agencies and citizens around the objectives of the Covenant of Mayors. The project promoted exchanges on implementing Sustainable Energy Action Plans, comparing local experience and forms of cooperation between public and private actors. Meetings addressed energy consumption, transport, buildings, production activities and citizen engagement. Focus Europe worked with Legautonomie to support a European network linking local energy policies with civic participation. Sharing practical approaches was central to helping communities contribute to sustainable energy objectives and respond to climate challenges.
Distinctive features
The network involved authorities and energy agencies from Italy, Spain, Croatia, Sweden, Denmark, Albania and Bulgaria.
