The project
An entrepreneurship training school promoted by Maestrale in Alghero and northern Sardinia. Classes, workshops and exchanges with local companies support the development of sustainable business ideas. Focus Europe contributes as a supporter and co-funder.
Description
“Building the Future” was designed to help young people in Alghero and northern Sardinia develop business ideas responding to economic, social and environmental needs. Promoted by Maestrale, the initiative complements the association’s earlier civic education and sustainable development programmes and uses the Rumundu Academy’s educational approach. The proposal combines theory and workshops, feasibility assessment, business model development and visits to local companies. Group work and exchanges with businesses and professionals are intended to build the skills and relationships needed to design sustainable initiatives, including non-profit ventures. Focus Europe contributes as a supporter and co-funder. Fondazione di Sardegna awarded the project a grant of €10,000 under its 2022 Local Development Call.
