The project
European citizens discussing solidarity, Euroscepticism and the reception of refugees. European solidarity was central.
Description
Be-EU involved citizens from eight European countries in discussions about the Union’s future, Euroscepticism and the reception of refugees. Supported by Europe for Citizens, the project explored what solidarity means in practice for Member States and local communities. An event in Cagliari and Capoterra in March 2018 examined its political, economic and social dimensions. The initiative aimed to strengthen confidence in European integration and create opportunities for participants to compare perspectives and propose ways to build a more cohesive Europe through cooperation.
