The opportunity
The Quality Label certifies an organisation’s ability to offer volunteering experiences in line with ESC standards. It covers host, support and lead roles; applications from Italy are submitted to Agenzia Italiana per la Gioventù.
Objectives
Ensure quality, inclusion and support in volunteering experiences.
Who can apply
Public and private bodies, with or without a profit motive, and international organisations. For the lead role: the organisation must have been based in the EU or an associated country for at least one year, except in the case of international organisations.
Territories
Italy and ESC-eligible countries; the organisation’s location determines the competent agency.
Eligible activities
For the host role: an activity programme, mentoring and support for volunteers. For the support role: preparation and ongoing support. For the lead role: coordination and management.
Funding
The Quality Label does not award funding or guarantee a grant. The lead role enables the organisation to apply for funding through subsequent calls; the other roles allow participation as a partner.
For organisations in the network
For municipalities and organisations in the network, this may be a starting point for hosting European volunteers or supporting local young people. Appropriate activities, mentoring and organisational capacity for the requested role are required.
